Write to the Editor
One address, read by the person who edits the site. Corrections are the most useful thing you can send, particularly from schools and state boards, and they are made against the source you point to.
Include the school name, the state, and a link to the record you are writing about. Replies go out during the working week.
What to Send, and What Happens Next
A license record is wrong or out of date
Say which school and which state, and paste the link to the board page that shows the current record. Board files are re-read on a schedule, but a correction with the board link attached is fixed the same week.
Start this emailA figure on a school card looks wrong
Name the school and the figure. Completion, cost and debt figures come from the College Scorecard and are quoted as published; if the Department of Education has revised one, send the Scorecard link and the card will follow it.
Start this emailYou run a school and want to explain a number
Cards state what the record shows and do not carry school statements, so a reply cannot be published beside the figure. What can change is the record itself: a renewed license or a corrected federal filing shows up here once the source shows it.
Start this emailYou are choosing a school and have a question
Write, and include your state. Answers point at the board rule or the record rather than at a school, because recommending one would make the ranking worth less to everyone reading it.
Start this emailWhat This Address Cannot Do
It cannot enrol you anywhere, cannot look up your own license, and cannot change a ranking on request. Rankings are built from the sources set out on the methodology page, and the only way a position moves is when the source does.
For your own license, or a school's license status today, the 51 state pages each link the board's own lookup, and that is faster than asking here. Start from the state list.
